And just a couple of days later I received a call from Sally, she told me who she was, and she offered information that she knew would be helpful for me and my family. “The support group welcomed me with open arms when I walked in not knowing anyone. I was able to say whatever I was feeling whether I was crying or extremely angry, they all understood. I have actually learned a lot by going to the group about the whole process, some have gone through the entire process of the court system and some of us have not, so hearing all the stories from other families have helped me to understand what to expect. I also like when they have guest speakers (police Lieutenant, Sergeants) to help us understand the process and hear our complaints about the process.
