Meet Tony Bear
Tony Bear is the heart and soul of the New Mexico Crusaders for Justice, a symbol born from unimaginable loss and carried forward with love, purpose, and an unshakeable will to protect others. Each bear is dressed in the clothing of a child gone too soon, traveling everywhere their family goes, to courtrooms, to vigils, to the streets where justice is still being fought for.
As our beloved mascot, Tony Bear is a recognizable symbol of support for families who refused to be silenced, and of a community that shows up for every missing child, every grieving mother, every family still waiting for answers. Every child deserves to be safe, every life deserves to be valued, and every family deserves justice.
Our Founders' Story
Driven by passion and purpose, our founders dedicated their lives to making a difference in the lives of families affected by violent crime.
The New Mexico Crusaders for Justice was born from a desire to create real change—to ensure that every family gets the justice and support they deserve. Through tireless advocacy, education, and community engagement, we're building a New Mexico where children are safe and families are never forgotten.
We Help You With
You don't have to face this alone. We walk alongside families of homicide and gun violence victims, offering support, guidance, and a community that truly understands.
Advocacy
Navigating the legal system after losing someone to violence is overwhelming. Our advocates walk with you through every step: court proceedings, victim's rights, and connecting you with the right resources.
Support
Grief after homicide is unlike any other. Our support groups bring together families who understand: people who won't ask you to move on, but will help you find a way forward.
Assistance
In the immediate aftermath of a homicide, practical burdens pile up fast. We can help connect families with financial assistance, funeral resources, and emergency support so you can focus on each other.
